Football with my son

Usually I play football for a good workout, so I can stay in shape. Keeping up with today's brides require a photographer who is in top shape. So this day while at the field. My little one was along for the ride. I think he enjoyed himself.

Randolph Wedding

Malcolm & Latoya were great to work with. The bride was very detailed oriented and knew exactly how she wanted everything to look as planned. She expected all of her plans and visions to be executed like clockwork. Though we all know at weddings people always invite themselves to your wedding. Well this wedding had three mothers in attendance. Mother of the groom, Mother of the bride, & the mother you don’t want to see at your wedding….Mother Nature. Yep, she stuck her ugly head out minutes before the wedding start time.
We all know that it’s a possibility that it may rain, hail or worse…a hurricane may hit. Well luckily we got the lesser of the three evils only rain. But let me see you try to convince a bride that everything is going to be OK. After watching her decorative chair covers get drenched by the summer rain. Having guests and vendors scurry to salvage as much linen and floral arrangements they could.
Being a Floridian, I studied the clouds. I concentrated on rainfall direction and cloud thickness. I convinced Latoya that this rain will pass and you will see the beautiful rays of the sun piercing through the blue skies before you know it.
Within 30 minutes all the chairs had been rearranged as beautiful as before. The first item I rescued from the rain was the candles from the unity candle table. Those things are hard enough to light on a normal day. So I arranged the candles as they were, assisted with the chairs and other things to get the ceremony venue ready for the beautiful bride.
From a photographers perspective I think the rain helped the wedding become more beautiful. The colors were so vibrant after the rain. From the colors in the party, the flowers, the oak trees, and the reddish brick pavement all glowed vibrantly. Everything was beautiful.
So for a day that most thought were going to be ruined by rain and terrible weather, turned out to be one of the most beautiful days I’ve photographed.

Thomas Wedding

These are some photos from the Thomas Wedding. Gloria and Robert were great to work with. They were very courteous...and involved in the wedding. They didn't hesitate to call when they had a question about something...they sometimes apologized about asking a question. I had to stop them...I reminded them..you guys are my bride and groom. I am here to make sure your wedding day go as smoothly as possible.

Ft. Desoto Beach

Knowing how much my wife loves the beach, we decided to take a trip down to Ft. Desoto Beach, in St. Pete, FL. Beautiful beach. The weather was nice that day...I'm usually a person who wouldn't really get in the beach, because it's usually cold.

Call me a wimp if you like..but I don't do cold water...i need some sort of warmth. But today was a good day. It almost made me think back to my honeymoon in Mexico. That water down there made me feel like I was taking a bath it was soooo warm.

Happy Anniversary

It's been four years since I made one of the best decisions on my life...I said "I DO..I Do....I do..." My wife has been a blessing to me in so many ways. One of the biggest blessings shes given me was a son, my Jr. I'm very thankful for them both.

I pray that I have many more wonderful years with my wife and son. Now tell me why these celebrities can't stay together past a month...us layman folk do it all the time.

My Son Survived

I know most of you by the title are saying to yourself...survived what...Well about a year ago..my wife went into the hospital because she had a concern during her pregnancy. At that time we realized she had an incompetent cervix...so she was placed on emergency. bed rest. Please understand this is May, and Jay was due...late August..yeah..bummer. Long story short..they told us that if the baby were to come now..his chances for survival are slim to non..and more toward the none side. But guess what....he came 3 months early..we prayed and he is still with us and striving. So when I say survive...thats why I say it...

This past weekend we celebrated the first year of his life. We went with a theme of survivor..you all know why.

Breast Cancer

Last month I donated my services to an organization called Sistahs Surviving Breast Cancer. It was a great event, all the ladies enjoyed themselves..while celebrating their survival. In attendance was about 30 plus survivors plus other ladies who are trying to beat cancer now. All the ladies were decked out in their best shade of pink, I was also...my wife said that I wasn't allowed to wear blue, but...she did say I looked good in it.

Wilson Wedding

Thanks for letting me share your special day with you. I remember when I first met the groom during my years at USF. He was always a professional and courteous young man. I met his wife during our consultations, and I knew they were meant for each other. Both are very accomplished and eager to attain more. So, I wish you guys the best...and many wonderful years of marriage bliss.

Marching for Babies

This weekend was MOD March for Babies. It was a long walk but well worth it. It was always a worthy cause for me, but now more than ever....I am reminded daily on how March of Dimes can make a difference in babies lives. Last year I didn't walk because my son was hanging on for his life, due to being born 3 months early. But this year...he is now 11 months old, and kicking, yelling, screaming, laughing, and all that other stuff that kids do.... He braved the walk with us, he had a date, can you believe it. Her name is Calese. She's a cutey. I am continuing to accept donation to March of Dimes through my website. Please donate if you can find it in your heart..and bank account. Thanks to everybody who has donated thus far, and to those who will donate in the future.

Jennifer & Johnathan

This is why I love doing wedding photography over any other type. While working this wedding there was sooo much love in the air. These two couldn't keep themselves off of each other...they didnt need much coaching...If all wedding could be like this, I may pay the couple just to share in the joy.
